Does the Bailout situation affect lawsuit cash advances? by Rob Thomas

December 2, 2008

This was my first question too. How will my clients ability to get a lawsuit cash advance be affected? Does it tighten the supply? Will the finance companies start declining good cases?

Nope, we are in what is known as the secondary market. The primary market = banks and traditional or PUBLIC institutions. Because we are in the secondary market that is outperforming the stock market handsomely, there are more and more funds to invest in lawsuit cash advances. Think of it this way: When the stock market is volatile, people go into real estate to invest and vice versa but now both are no bueno.

So now a private investor can invest in a whole new asset class: Lawsuit Settlements. Many are investing now because stocks are not safe when you don’t control whether they go up or down and thanks to the follies of the mortgage industry, the real estate world has been affected as well.

Now is as good as time as any to get a lawsuit cash advance.
